Classic Milk Polvoron

The traditional and most common type. Made with toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar, and butter. It has a simple, creamy, and crumbly taste.

Pinipig Polvoron

Contains pinipig (toasted young rice), which adds a crunchy texture to the soft, powdery base.

Ube Polvoron

Flavored with ube (purple yam). It has a sweet, nutty taste and a vibrant purple color.

Chocolate Polvoron

Made with cocoa powder or chocolate bits for a richer, sweeter flavor loved by kids and chocolate fans.

In the Philippines, polvoron—introduced during the Spanish colonial era—became a distinctively regional specialty. Filipino polvoron is usually made using toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar, and butter or margarine, in contrast to the original Spanish form. Each component is wrapped in vibrant cellophane after being combined and pressed into molds, which are frequently circular or oval.
